Domain Architect - Military Veterans

Job Summary  

Lead the architecture planning and implementation for an organization focused on contractor administration and settlement. 

Job Description  

As a Domain Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that support contractor settlement and administration processes and systems. You will work closely with business partners, IT developers, and colleagues across departments to ensure that the architecture aligns with business needs and objectives. 

Additionally, this position works closely with and engages business and technical stakeholders at all levels of the FedEx Enterprise to translate FedEx business initiatives into actionable implementation roadmaps. As a Domain Architect you will work with stakeholders and architects to identify and define enterprise capabilities and create initiative-based architectural artifacts for the consumption of the teams to execute with a business value driven approach. 

Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus: 


  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals, ensuring future scalability, flexibility. 

  • Assess and recommend new technologies, platforms, and systems to optimize business operations while ensuring alignment with existing architecture. 

  • Establish and enforce governance practices to ensure IT policies, standards, and practices are followed.  

  • Ensure IT systems and solutions comply with regulatory standards and are designed with security as a top priority. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the architecture development process, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and act as a technology advisor to senior management. 

  • Lead the design and architecture of systems focused on contractor settlement and administration. 

  • Act as a bridge between business partners and technical teams to ensure alignment of goals and objectives. 

  • Assess new requirements to estimate the effort needed for completion and determine the appropriate number of Scrum team members required to implement the solution.  

  • Ability to work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions. 

  • Knowledge of integration methodologies and best practices.  

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

  •  Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and expertise in best practices for implementing customizations in large-scale environments.

 

Minimum Education 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems and/or equivalent formal training. 

Minimum Experience 

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. 


Preferred Qualifications:  

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: US pay range: $9,208 to $16,575 monthly
