General ledger accountant/analyst - Military Veterans

Position Overview:
As a General Ledger Accounting Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for managing the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes affecting the industry.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or financial analysis.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
