Role and responsibilities


  • As a Process Engineering for the photolithography and wet etch team, you will expect to perform a variety of engineering tasks including designing, developing and testing solutions; analyzing data; and troubleshooting production problems. You will also participate on projects to continuously improve processes that support optical manufacturing. ​


  • Contribute to the optimization of production wet chemical processes, that includes cleaning, contamination control, etching and photolithography.


  • Design experiments focused on identifying root cause of existing production problems.


  • Perform statistical analysis of process data in addition to any experimental data used for troubleshooting.


  • Investigate deficiencies within production processes, with the intended focus of improving process controls.


  • Draft robust production procedures, documenting manufacturable processes in the form of work instructions.


Education and experience


  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Sciences, Optical Engineering, Physics or equivalent experience. 


  • 10+ years experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of systems like safety requirements, problem solving, FMEA, design of experiments and statistical process control are required.


  • 10+ years of photolithography and wet etching experience. Contact or proximity lithography preferred.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role within Office 

Responsibilities: 


  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus. 


  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. 


  • May require local travel dependent on business needs. 


  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 



Role within the Factory

Responsibilities:


  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing full body coveralls, hood, safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses for entire duration of shift.


  • Working around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals. 


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. 


  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. 


  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


  • Can work under deadlines.


  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
