Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) Process Improvement (PI) Coordinator ensures quality of patient care by assisting the Emergency Department in planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring ER performance improvement activities and data.

What you will do in this role:

• Maintain daily EMTALA Logs 

• Follow up with Registration, Medical Records, OB, etc. 

• Complete monthly ED Dashboard 

• Oversee positive culture results, follow up as needed. 

• Works closely with Infectious Disease 

• Performs audits and reports back to the ED Leadership team regarding findings 

• TATs

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher is required


• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license


• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required


• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred and required to be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer date


• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Pediatric Life Support (PALS) is preferred and required to be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer date


• At least 2 years Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) experience required


• 1-3 years Quality/Performance/Process Management experience preferred
