ABOUT THE ROLE
Honeywell Intelligrated is seeking a Lead Field Service Controls Technician to provide onsite support to our customers distribution centers in the Southeast region.
As a Lead Field Service Technician, you will install and maintain new and old material handling and sortation equipment, respond to emergency service calls, and overall provide general customer support for all Intelligrated and Legacy made equipment, including sortation, AS/RS shuttle systems, robotic application, palletizers, cranes, and multiple types of conveying equipment.
You will also gather data utilizing specific reports and Intelligrated procedures, and supply various forms and custom reports to the customer to assist in sales of parts and service contracts. As necessary, you will assist with the field training of new employees and may receive in-house assignments covering technical support, training, or documentation.
You willtravel throughout and reside in any of the following states following areas:OK, AR, TX, TN, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, NC, SC.

Key Responsibilities:
- Performs mechanical and electrical installation or modification to Intelligrated & Legacy equipment 20%
- New equipment commissioning and integration Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues 40%
- Modify, adjust, or develop robotic and PLC application code 20%
- Complete various weekly reports 10%
- Train and supports resident technicians 10%
- Travel 85% throughout the Southeast region, and occasionally to other regions.

YOU MUST HAVE
- The following combination of education and experience:
- Associates Degree in Engineering and 2 years of field experience.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and 5 years of experience.
- PLC Programming skills.
- Diagnostic proficiency with one of the types of PLC (Modicon, PLC5, PLC500).
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Reliable transportation to a major airport (Must be within a One Hour commute of nearest airport).
WE VALUE

- Working experience of electrical wiring and reading of schematics.
- Prior Customer Service Experience
- Proficiency with MS Office products and Operating Systems (i.e. Windows XP).
- Ability to work independently (self-starter) and with teams.
