We are currently recruiting for an internship located at our office in Wilton, Connecticut.
Role and responsibilities
As a Summer Intern in Mechanical Analysis, your responsibilities will include:
- Develop analytical and numerical models of portions of the lithography system
- Tooling that shows technical feasibility and provide guidance to design engineers.
- Work on sub-systems involving robotics, mechatronics, precision mechanics, and/or opto-mechanics.
- Collaborate with design engineers and other analysts in a multidiscipline project team to perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, support system integration and testing.
- System optimization by addressing technical concerns, providing guidance, and modeling assistance in a wide variety of application areas, particularly those involving structural mechanics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, electromagnetics, and optics.
Education and Experience
- Pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or other engineering discipline with minimum 2 years completed. (Must be a current student and pursuing a degree)
- Pursuing a graduate level degree a plus
- Mechanical design exposure to kinematics, dynamics, material properties and behavior, and structural analysis.
- Mechanical design exposure to kinematics, dynamics, material properties and behavior, and structural analysis.
- Experience with 3D solid modelling for design conceptualization and realization.
- Basic experience with mechanical analytical techniques, including “first principle” engineering equations and Finite Element Analysis such as stress, strain, deformation, modal response, etc.
- Strong technical writing, communication and presentations skills.

- This position is located on-site in Wilton, Connecticut. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

- Working around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.
- The employee is occasionally required to move around the campus.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- May require travel dependent on company needs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
