This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a System Administrator near Ft. Meade, MD. HII Mission Technologies is a technology solutions company delivering technical expertise and operational support to the United States Department of Defense, civilian government agencies and commercial customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• As the SA the individual works closely with the ISSM and various Government Agencies and Offices to maintain and manage classified Information Systems.
• Manages changes to the system and assesses the security impact of those changes.
• Ensures all system security procedures are being followed including maintaining and reviewing software security patching in accordance with various customer requirements.
• Maintain responsibility for Information System hardware and software control for secure operating environments.
• Perform periodic self-inspections of the overall Information System program and ensure compliance with various government regulations.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• An ideal candidate will be a fast-learning, self-motivated individual with a passion to work on and positively impact our nation's defense against digital threats.
• Knowledge across all aspects of Information Systems Security
• Experience in risk assessment and security incident management
• Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting virtual environments is a plus
• Experience configuring software, modifying software configuration and performing basic configuration management IAW with all STIGs and other Cybersecurity requirements
• Experience with RMF, NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and NISPOM
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and logging tools a plus
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in both a team environment as well as independently
• Must be organized and detail orientated
• Backup and assist other members of the Security Staff as required
• Certification- Security+ certification with a preference of CISSP
• Clearance- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with poly
