responsibilities:

• Perform complex and difficult engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Extract engineering information from CAD drawings.

• Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

• Develop detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.

• Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses.

• Prepare and issue specifications, datasheets, and other construction documents.

• Provide technical guidance to CAD Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers.

• May provide professional engineer seal and signature; ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and ordinances.

• May act as an advisor to senior management on engineering-related matters.

• Work with 480V and up systems.

• Work independently and as part of a team on multiple projects.

• Exhibit good organizational and communication skills; express ideas clearly both orally and in writing.

• Accept responsibility for own actions and honor commitments.

• Travel to client offices, company offices, and project sites for meetings, inspections, and field support.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and office networks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 8+ years of related work experience.

• Active Professional Engineer registration in California or ability to obtain it within 3 months.

• Proficiency in electrical engineering software packages.

• Experience in low and medium voltage heavy industrial design, substation design, transmission, distribution line design, and ETAP modeling.

• Working knowledge of Industry Codes and Standards (e.g., NEC, ASME, ANSI, ISA, ASHRAE, IEEE, ASTM, NFPA).
