JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Affordable Housing Manager plays a crucial role within the compliance team, supporting the development of new programs and projects while guiding the strategic direction of the Affordable Housing Department. This position ensures the Company's compliance with all Affordable Housing Program (AHP) rules and regulations, as well as those set by other regulatory bodies. The Affordable Housing Manager is responsible for overseeing and monitoring various aspects of affordable housing programs, including but not limited to HTC, BOND, HTF, HOME, CDBG, AHDP, PBS8, 811, and PH programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Establishes on-site and corporate processes surrounding compliance with all Affordable Housing Programs reporting and regulations. Works closely with the Regional Property Manager, Community Manager and Assistant Community Manager in the preparation and distribution of compliance reports to various governmental agencies and properties.
• Research and write procedures to establish and maintain company policies and procedures for meeting all government compliance regulations.
• Conducts property file audits and reviews property procedures surrounding Affordable Housing Programs. Identify audit findings and all formal issues of non-compliance and communicate those findings to the Regional Property Manager for resolution.
• Develops and implements systems to monitor income limits and utility allowances.
• Coordinate with client services and operations team for the onboarding of properties with affordable components.
• Designs and develops training collateral surrounding Affordable Housing Program regulations and compliance and delivers to on-site property management teams and corporate associates as required.
• Reviews and monitors changes in regulatory and reporting provisions of government agencies, e.g., TCAC and HUD, etc. Disseminates this information to property management personnel both on-site and in the corporate office.
• Liaisons with investors, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Public Housing Agencies (PHAs), state housing finance agencies and other regulatory agencies.
• Communications effectively with affordable team to train, monitor compliance, explain and interpret policies and procedures, and resolve problems.
• Assists as needed in the development of new business by responding to RFP's regarding properties with Affordable Housing Program and/or other government agency regulation components.
• Completes various analyses and reports and performs other duties as assigned.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 (Southern California region)
