Job Summary
The Customer Support Sales Representative will promote the sales of service, parts, and whole-good attachments as a customer solution and build long term relationships within territory to maximize company profitability and assist market share. The CSSR should promote and ensure that Uptime is Everything, for our customers.
Essential Functions
* Sell machine maintenance and repair services, parts, hoses, oils, extended warranties, preventative maintenance agreements, whole goods attachments, and any other management approved products
* Maintain technical knowledge of Doggett Machinery products and services as well as provide technical assistance where applicable including Service Advisor and with My Dealer Portal
* Utilize Customer Relation Management tool (HANDLE) to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related sales activities
* Prepare written quotes and estimates to customers as well as coordinate service calls in conjunction with the Service Department process including the use of Modern
* Promote sales of John Deere Loyalty Parts, all other parts sales, and Parts Department promotions as directed by the Parts Manager
* Complete machine follow-up forms and enter them in to the Deere Portal
* Complete CSA Certification through JDU in first year and all continued education training
* Keep current on product knowledge, features and benefits of all products and services marketed by the company including allied products
* Actively promote the John Deere Rebuild/Re-Life program to all eligible customers
* Maintain, as directed by the Manager, current and accurate information for all customers in the assigned territory
* Maintain awareness on all parts and service competitors
* Assist in the collection of accounts receivable for your assigned accounts
* Act as the lead in machine support issues with the customer and our manufacturing partners
* Understand and promote JD Link and proactively manage subscriptions and promote renewals
* Manage customers undercarriage systems by periodic inspections and project replacement guidelines
* Assist the Sales Department in new machine deliveries to the customer in conjunction with the salesman
* Collaborate with the Sales Department to perform machine inspections on all lease units prior to maturity
* Lead and promote the use of the Doggett My Dealer Portal to our customers.
* Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
* Maintain excellent communication with your respective Parts and Service Managers and CSA Director.
* Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree from technical college preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction/agriculture related role with involvement in activities such as sales, service, training or other related work
* Minimum of 3 years experience working with heavy machinery preferred
* Strong computer skills
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Highly organized and reliable
* Excellent Customer Service Skills
* Knowledge of Machinery Operations and Safety guidelines
* Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, power train and engine components
* Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Travel Requirements
* Must be able to travel regularly
Physical Requirements
* Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Environmental Conditions
A major portion of every day will be spent outdoors walking, stooping and bending, climbing on and off machines. Proper PPE is required for all training.
