Assistant/Associate Professor School of Social Work The School of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites applications for two 9-month, full-time tenure-track assistant or associate professor positions starting August 16, 2025. Our areas of particular research interest include serious mental illness and human service management. These positions will address critical areas in social work, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and support the development of innovative programs. The successful candidates will have established a research portfolio demonstrating promise for developing a productive and impactful record, including publications and external funding. Demonstrated excellence in teaching social work for undergraduate and graduate students is expected. Exceptional candidates in other related areas will also be considered. A PhD in social work or another health or social science field is required. Candidates holding MSW degrees are preferred. The budgeted salary range for these positions is $85,000-90,000 at the Assistant Professor level, and $100,000-110,000 at the Associate Professor level. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
