Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Finance Process & Technology Intern to assist the teams with leading process improvement initiatives and planning and implementing financial reporting improvements for the summer of 2024. Highlights of your work with Mortenson will include:
- Assisting the team in creating or modifying financial reports - Smart View or PowerBI
- Assist the team with testing finance system enhancements - Oracle
- Gaining an understanding of the finance system enhancement process
- Exposure to Finance KPIs
- Supporting the team with ad hoc requests
- Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives
- Work with teams to develop flow charts of existing business processes
- Analyze process data to help teams understand current state
Qualifications:

- Are currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science/Analytics or related field
- Have achieved a minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Have experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Demonstrate effective communication (written and oral) and active listening skills
- Have acute attention to detail
- Possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Additional Information:
This opportunity is full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer of 2025. The internship position is out of our Minneapolis headquarters office.
