BUSINESS INSTRUCTOR Faculty Full-Time The position of Business Instructor is Open Until Filled to create a qualified instructor pool. As the Full-Time Faculty: Business Instructor, you will teach online and face to face in a variety of subjects that may include accounting, business administration, marketing, and the like. The assignment may include instructional oversight of the current business department programs and envisioning new ones that move UCC forward. Other responsibilities will include curriculum assessment and development, managing instructional projects, creating community partnerships, leading advisory committees, and being actively involved in recruiting and placing graduates in businesses across Douglas County. Roseburg has live-ability, a friendly feel and is ready to be home to your next career and family adventure. QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications: Innovative and collaborative mindset. Master?s degree in business administration or business management from a regionally accredited college. At least three years of recent teaching experience, related work experience in a community college setting, or similar business training with evidence of teaching all or some of the following: accounting, introduction to business, business math, personal finance, management, and marketing. Ability to be on campus Monday-Friday. Familiarity with computer technology, MS Office products, and ability to quickly learn the college's currently used learning management system (Canvas). Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with others and the ability to work in teams. 5+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following business career areas: management, marketing, retail, finance, accounting, or other closely related area. Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications: Master?s in Business Administration. 3-5 years of experience teaching business/accounting classes at a community college. Proficiency in current business software applications. Experience in business administration or institutional administrative level. Prior experience developing and teaching online classes with the Canvas LMS. Prior experience with community college program development or demonstrated industry connections leading to program development. Prior experience or demonstrated knowledge of online quality course development such as Quality Matters.
