As a Security Guard, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Responsibilities:


  • INTERIOR PATROLS During interior patrols of the facility, Security Professionals should be checking
    for unauthorized individuals, doors found unlocked that should be locked or doors
    that are locked and should be unlocked, broken locks, non-operating lights,
    property damage and obvious safety issues, such as water spills. All such
    observations should be noted in your Daily Activity Report or Incident Report,
    or other designated reports, in addition to any verbal reports you make.
    When necessary, facility repair requests must be submitted. Emergency access and egress is extremely important. If while patrolling,
    you find emergency access/exits locked or blocked (by furniture, boxes,
    trash, etc.), the Security Professional, if safe to do so, should: Immediately remove any items from the emergency access/exit path Deposit the items (trash empty boxes) in the appropriate place Contact facility maintenance for removal of items (during business hours) Notify your Supervisor of immovable items in emergency access/exit paths Make an entry on the Daily Activity Report (DAR) noting what was found,
    where it was found and whether it was removed (and how). In addition, look for hazards such as obvious spills or an obviously dangerous
    condition on the property. Such hazards may lead to slips and falls and other
    injuries. If you observe any such conditions, immediately report them to the
    appropriate person and warn others near the hazard. On occasion, Security is asked to help employees reset their desktop computers.
    This request is permitted if Patrol is only using the power button to turn on or restart the computer. Notify the Command Center Operator (CCO) at the start and end of each tour
    and any time you need to step away from the desk. All such observations
    should be noted in your Daily Activity Report or Incident Report, or other
    designated reports, in addition to any verbal reports you make. SITE SPECIFIC DUTIES Turning on the facilities lights on days when the plant is open. Check temperature and humidity in BR1 LAN room Check gauge ranges in BR1 and BR2. Ensure the Fire Panels in BR1, BR2 and LCI are showing Normal Ensure the confidential shred bins are properly secured. Monitor traffic and enforce safety at the three-way stop.EXTERIOR PATROLS During exterior patrols officers should look for cracked doors or windows,
    broken sprinklers and landscape damage, any debris on the property,
    exterior lights that have burned out, and any vandalism such as graffiti.
    Check that all exterior doors of the facility that are supposed to be locked are in fact locked. Notify the Command Center Operator (CCO) at the start and end of each
    tour and any time you step away from the desk. All such observations
    should be noted in your Daily Activity Report or Incident Report, or other
    designated reports in addition to any verbal reports you make. BROOKDALE 2 SECURITY POST On weekdays, Security will staff the BR2 Security Post from 0730 to 1630.
    This post will work together with the BR1 Patrol to handle emergencies and events.
    Specifically, this post will: Start of each shift Clock in within 5 minutes of the start of your shift Receive pass down report from BR1 Patrol and review previous DARs Ensure all office and patrol items are in place and working Log into the Lutron network and check email Open Global Security SharePoint site and review the restricted access log Log into access control monitoring and security video Handle the sign-in of visitors and contractors for BR2 Sign in drivers on the Driver's Log for BR2 deliveries Handling driver screening and maintaining the log for BR2 deliveries Issue one-day passes to badge holders as needed Issue and activate badges as appropriate Take the lead on calls for service and emergencies in BR2 Activate badges for Brookdale as needed Coordinate with BR1 Patrol to ensure that at least one SP is always in their
    respective office (do not take breaks at the same time)

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and

  • security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
