Lead Maintenance Planner - Military Veterans

Title: Lead Maintenance Planner

Lilly is currently constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for production of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) molecules located in Lebanon, IN.  This facility is Lilly’s largest investment in manufacturing capacity and is intended to provide APIs for current and future products, including new modalities.  This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the startup team for a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will help to build the processes and facility to enable a successful startup into GMP manufacturing operations.

Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:

The primary role of the Lead Maintenance Planner is to improve the productivity, equipment reliability and quality of maintenance by eliminating any potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and scheduling of parts, machine time and maintenance manpower.  The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling all non-emergency maintenance work and is the liaison or coordinator between the plant’s customers (production, laboratories, administrative, and utility) and the maintenance organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate HSE (Health, Safety Environmental) standards into all planned work.
  • Maintains a Ready Backlog of Work Orders to be pulled forward as needed.
  • Prioritizes and plans work orders based on asset criticality.
  • Ensuring spare parts are available & liaison with MRO stores.
  • Coordinating with outside vendors for specialized services such as welding or machining operations on site if required by certain jobs.
  • Updating of job plans to ensure accuracy.
  • Schedule, chair & attend meetings to ensure maintenance activities are appropriately scheduled.
  • Flexibility to support other areas within the Maintenance team & participate in Project and best practice initiatives within the Maintenance team.
  • First point of contact for craft personnel to troubleshoot issues/queries on the Maximo.
  • Utilizes parts kitting process for PMs and all other work orders that can be scheduled and kitted.
  • Utilizes work order statuses to correctly partition work orders.
  • Maintaining BOM (Bill of Materials) for assets “Spare parts” in Maximo.
  • Supports engineering for Add to Stores of spare parts.
  • Work closely with maintenance supervisors to ensure weekly assignments are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with production managers, reliability, and maintenance supervisor on the weekly top priority.
  • Report weekly completion rates and weekly schedule adherence on a month to date basis.

Basic Requirements:

  • AS in related curriculum or equivalent experience
  • 3 Years Experience as a Maintenance Craft or Technician
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Additional Preferences:

  • (CMMS) Maximo experience preferred.
  • Experience within a regulated industry; FDA regulated industries preferred
  • Experience as a Maintenance Scheduler or Planner in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with tracking purchase orders from generation to invoicing.
  • Must be able to organize workload and prioritize task while working in an environment that requires teamwork and flexibility

Additional Information:

  • Tasks require entering manufacturing areas which require wearing appropriate PPE.
  • May be required to provide support outside of normal working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
