Relocation Provided?: No Position Summary: Position Summary The ESOL Program Manager supports the programs and strategic operation of the Adult Education and ESOL department. This position oversees all administrative functions related to the Targeted ESOL (non-credit), Academic ESOL (credit) courses, and ESOL Dual Enrollment courses. The ESOL Program Manager oversees student advising, class placement, scheduling, and faculty and adjunct staffing of ESOL courses. This position will work collaboratively across areas to develop and ensure program consistency and pathways across Basic ESOL (grant-funded), Targeted, and Academic ESOL courses which includes curriculum development and alignment. This position must work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities   The following are the functions essential to performing this job:    1.       Develop and implement curriculum that bridges the three different ESOL components at the College. 2.       Hire, train, mentor, and support Faculty, CEWD Adjunct Faculty and Dual Enrollment Adjunct Faculty, including observing classroom instruction and providing professional feedback. 3.       Participate in review of curriculum process and ongoing evaluation of instructional effectiveness. 4.       Identify professional development needs, plan, coordinate, and conduct professional development training to ensure learner achievement and improve instruction. 5.       Incorporate technology and increase access to technology across the ESOL programs. 6.       Provide academic advising for students, including interpretation of placement test results and development of a course of study, and interpretation of degree audits and curricular requirements. 7.       Participate in Adult Education and ESOL team meetings to support student transition into Targeted and Academic ESOL . 8.       Serve on College and campus-wide committees, engaging in activities that enhance the relationships the College has in the community. 9.       Initiate and maintain connections with College services and community agencies, including Frederick County Public Schools and Frederick County Workforce Services, to facilitate resource sharing and referrals. 10.   Facilitate implementation of Dual Enrollment ESOL courses in collaboration with the Dual Enrollment and Early College Coordinators and FCPS Dual Enrollment Coordinator. 11.   Perform other duties as assigned.  Salary: $66,431 annually FCC offers a generous benefits package which includes medical insurance, dental and vision plans, waiver of FCC tuition for employee and eligible dependents, tuition reimbursement, generous leave benefits, retirement plans, and more!
