Material Handler - Military Veterans

STS Technical Services is hiring a Material Handler for a 2-month temporary position, with the possibility of extension through early 2025. This is a full-time, on-site role at 35 Nicholson Rd, East Granby, CT 06026, working Monday through Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM. No weekend work required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Locate and pull materials as outlined on production orders and stock production areas to maintain inventory.
  


• Operate material handling equipment (Stand-up, Sit-down forklifts, Combi Lancer, Tugger).
  


• Ensure a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and 6S standards.
  


• Handle receiving, shipping, and line-running duties.
  


• Verify part quantities and complete bills of lading (BOL) for material shipments.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, and inventory management.
  


• Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a welding qualification test upon starting.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
  


• 6+ months of material handling experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  


• Ability to become forklift certified and safely operate material handling equipment.
  


• Experience with warehouse technology and ship confirming.
