WSU Vancouver has an admissions counselor position to consider! Summary of Duties The primary focus of the Admissions Counselor is to support Vancouver campus recruitment and enrollment initiatives through outreach to applicants, event planning, and individual admissions counseling appointments. This position will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions enrollment funnel and will collaborate with campus and system-level recruitment efforts. This position will work onsite at WSU Vancouver but will also travel within Washington and Oregon for recruitment. The position will recruit students, respond to requests for information, provide information about academic requirements, provide degree pathways and assist with unofficial transfer evaluations. In addition, this position is responsible for initiating, coordinating and executing various recruitment programs and services to support and facilitate students transferring to WSU Vancouver. Required Qualifications Positions require a Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year of experience directly related to student services. A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards. Ability to travel, work some weekends and evenings. Preferred Qualifications Experience advising or supporting transfer student population. Previous student recruitment experience. Experience working with diverse populations such as non-traditional, first generation, and low income. Bi-lingual (Spanish, English or other) Experience organizing and planning programs and presentations. Demonstrated ability to use technology including a Customer Relationship management system (i.e. Slate) Essential Duties: 60% Admissions Counseling 35% Student Recruitment 5% Other duties as assigned. Monthly Salary: 4,050 - 4,566 Grade 3, Zone 3. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to the mid-point of the salary range.
