Job Summary
The Office of Communications and Marketing at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Student Video Producer! The ideal candidate will be a creative and innovative video storyteller with an eye for visual detail. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the production of promotional/news stories and videos in support of the university's brand and mission. This is a 10-15 hour per week paid position and can serve as a for credit internship if needed.

Essential Functions
- Creatively shoot and edit content to tell compelling stories.
- Assist on video shoots through equipment setup and b-roll shooting.
- Work with OCM video producers to advance promotion of the university through video on multiple platforms.
- Work with OCM social media team to create engaging content for broad audiences.
- Organize and distribute requested media clips to campus partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrolled student at Auburn University.
Expectations:
- Must be able to work 10-15 hours per week.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Must be able to shoot and edit video.
- Must be able to produce content within given deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient using Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus). Eye for detail. Good time-management skills.

Welcome to Auburn University!
Auburn University was established in 1856 as the East Alabama Male College, 20 years after the city of Auburn's founding. In 1872, under the Morrill Act, the school became the first land-grant college in the South and was renamed the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama. In 1899 the name again was changed, to the Alabama Polytechnic Institute. Finally, in 1960 the name of the school was changed to Auburn University, a title more in keeping with its location, and expressing the varied academic programs and larger curriculum of a major university.
Today, Auburn is one of the few universities to carry the torch as a land, sea and space grant university. Our fall 2014 semester enrollment was 25,912. Our students can choose from more than 140 degree options in 13 schools and colleges at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels.
