Position Description The Division of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon to join the present full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, without tenure by reason of funding (WOT). This position will have an anticipated start date in Summer 2023. This position will provide a broad spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgical services, including complex microsurgical oncologic reconstruction and autologous breast reconstruction. The position will be primarily based at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) - Montlake Campus. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Associate Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. At the rank of Assistant Professor (WOT): The base salary range for this position will be: $27,500 - $31,167 per month ($330,000 - $374,004 annually). At the rank of Associate Professor (WOT): The base salary range for this position will be: $33,334 - $35,834 per month ($400,008 - $430,008 annually). Base salaries at all ranks will be commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UWP. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
