Assistant Professor - Modern Latin American History

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of History at The City College of New York (CCNY) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Modern Latin American History, with a preference for a candidate whose work focuses on environmental history; history of science, technology, or medicine; transimperial, transnational, or comparative history; gender; or history of migration. Teaching responsibilities include the Department???s Latin American history survey, undergraduate and M.A. electives in the candidate???s area of expertise, historical methods courses, and classes that contribute to the college???s general education curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. in History by date of appointment; evidence of excellent scholarly potential; and commitment to teaching, research, and program service.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $59,243 - $72,667
