The stroke specialists at Cedars-Sinai work in rapid-response teams from a range of medical fields to diagnose and treat strokes, using the most sophisticated imaging technology and treatments to achieve the best possible outcome. Summary of Essential Duties: Coordinate all systems related to acute stroke care delivery including the code brain response. As a member of the core stroke team, you will maintain all competencies associated with core team, including annually at least 8 hours of continuing stroke education, a valid NIH SS certification, & current ACLS. As a stroke team Nurse, you will provide stroke education to patients and their caregivers, significant others, and family members. Develop and maintain ongoing staff stroke education programs, including at least one community outreach event for stroke public awareness per year. Complete data collection sheets & audits of code brains in a timely manner and act a liaison between physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate a seamless continuum of patient care. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required BSN preferred License/Certifications: Current, unrestricted California RN license required SCRN certification required or willing to obtain within 1 year from start date ACLS from the American Heart Association required Experience: A minimum of 3 years of critical care or emergency department nursing experience required Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
