Applied Signal Technology: WHO WE ARE

What You Will Do

  • Apply your systems integration and test experience to support product integration, verification, deployment, and sustainment of our advanced telecommunication processing cloud-based systems

  • Contribute to and be an integral part of multi-discipline engineering project teams and be challenged by real-work assignments

  • Develop and execute system integration & test plans/procedures for both laboratory and field environments for demonstration and/or requirement sell-off

  • Perform technical research, develop technical documentation, presentations, and lead concept demonstrations

  • Contribute to technical proposals and request for information responses, and support development of draft technical volumes and cost basis of estimates

  • Learn telecommunication signal processing principles and concepts and expand your knowledge in modern telecommunication signal processing techniques and in telecommunication, mobile and cloud network architectures

  • Travel up to 25% travel time to other AST sites and customer sites to support customers meetings and demonstrations, system deployments (installation, integration/validation/verification)

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • Experience performing system integration, verification/validation, deployment and/or sustainment of telecommunications signal processing cloud-based systems (AWS, Snowball)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance or current SSBIC

  • Experience with setting up and configuring Cloud computing environments using Ansible and executing DevOps pipelines.  Experience with Snowball Edge devices is highly desirable

  • Experience with telecommunication standards within the mobile network architecture. Experience with the 5G core network standards is highly desirable

  • Experience generating test and automation scripts with Python, Perl, Bash, and/or similar scripting languages operating within the Linux development environment

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
