A Senior Pipe Support Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This position involves designing and locating piping supports, performing calculations, working in a 3D model environment, and applying knowledge of industry standards and codes such as AISC and ASME B31.3 to deliver cost-effective, high-quality designs.

responsibilities:
- Locate and design supports for various piping systems.
- Perform calculations associated with piping support design.
- Be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes like AISC and ASME B31.3.
Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with layout personnel, pipe stress engineers, and other support engineers to deliver quality, cost-effective designs.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
- Work in a 3D model environment, extracting 2D pipe support drawings.
Basic Qualifications:
- strong knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 codes and relevant industry standards.
- Prior experience using structural analysis programs.
Grade Education/Experience Requirements:
- Grade 25: BS degree with 6 years of related experience.
- Grade 26: BS degree with 9 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE (Professional Engineer) Registration.
- Experience using pipe stress analysis programs, such as ME150 (FAPPS) or GT STRUDL.
- Experience using Pipe SupportModeler software.
- Previous experience on Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of Energy (DOE) projects.
