Internship - IT Cloud Data Engineer - Military Veterans

Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

The internship is on-site in San Diego, CA and 12 weeks in length during summer 2025. Applicants must be enrolled in a program through at least fall 2025

Job Mission

As a Data Engineer at ASML, you will play a critical role in developing the data pipelines for the Cymer laser machine data.

Job Description

· Develop data pipeline solutions to contribute towards planned features in the Cymer machine data roadmap.

· Demonstrate systematic problem-solving to answer issues and opportunities with data management solutions.

· Interact with cross-functional teams to contribute to system design changes and improve system performances.

· Work towards adoption of best industry practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.

· Contribute to automated continuous data integration pipeline - build, test, and release.

· Collaborate with business users on the requirements to meet their goals.

· Collaborate with Data Architects and IT team members on project goals.

Education and Experience

· Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information System, or other related fields.

· Knowledge or experience using Databricks, SQL Server or other Database Technology.

· Familiar with Cloud Technologies (primarily Azure)

· Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, SQL, Windows and Linux scripting)

· Experience with Big Data Tools (Hadoop, Spark, Delta)

· Proven work as a data engineer or work on project of similar role

· Knowledge of data pipeline, ETL, and workflow tools.

Other Information

· This position is located on-site San Diego, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

· Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
