Job Overview






Komatsu is currently recruiting a Field Welder to work at our Fot Meade, FL location.

Key Job Responsibilities










  • Proficient at Carbon Arc Gouging







  • Proficient with Oxy/Fuel Torch







  • Understand Weld Symbols







  • Proficient at Print Reading







  • Proficient at Fitting/Layout







  • Experience with a variety of SMAW and FCAW welding electrodes.







  • Up to 75% travel/field repairs







  • Dual shield 1/16 wire with 75/25% shielded welding gas.













Qualifications/Requirements










  • Primary focus on a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis.







  • Perform a variety of welding and cutting applications (including air arcing).







  • Lay out and perform complex repairs with a high level of accuracy and quality.







  • Assess equipment repair needs and developing repair processes.







  • Troubleshoot, maintain and perform minor repairs to most assigned tooling; wire feeders and welding machines.







  • Work in a diverse team environment. 







  • Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments.







  • Must be able to wear a respirator or fresh air hood when required.







  • Working at heights, elevated surfaces, man lift and etc.

The Komatsu North America Mining Distribution and Service group is a critical part of our Komatsu global organization.  We, sell, install, service, provide parts and rebuild equipment, as well as provide digital solutions for our customers.  In the United States, we have a presence in 16 states across the US with 30 primary sites.  We have approximately 1,200 employees.
