We are looking for a highly skilled Finance Analytics professional to join our Finance Data Strategy team. In this role, you will use advanced technologies, including AI and machine learning, to model, extract actionable insights, and analyze key financial metrics, driving our global financial data strategy forward. Your efforts will streamline data and analytics in Finance, ensuring our financial strategies are data-driven to enhance decision-making and increase efficiency. This position reports to the Senior Director of Financial Data Strategy within the Digital Finance Organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sophisticated data models and analytics frameworks to derive actionable insights from large, complex financial datasets. Use these insights to influence key decisions across profitability, revenue growth, cost management, and global financial performance.
- Conduct advanced financial analytics, using predictive and prescriptive modeling techniques to uncover trends, forecast future outcomes, and provide data-driven recommendations that support strategic financial planning and optimization efforts.
- Apply advanced analytics and data visualization tools to deliver deep insights into financial metrics, enabling leadership to make informed, strategic decisions. Use tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Python to create dynamic, interactive dashboards and reports that provide clarity and context.
- Drive the analytics agenda, promoting a data-driven culture where insights are central to all strategic decisions. Find opportunities to apply analytics in optimizing processes, improving accuracy, and enhancing financial performance across all business divisions.
- Lead the development of KPIs and performance measurements based on real-time data analysis, ensuring continuous monitoring and evaluation of financial performance. Use these metrics to identify potential risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Data Science, and Engineering, to implement best practices in financial data analytics, ensuring alignment with business goals and promoting efficient data usage.
- Serve as a key driver of financial insights, translating raw data into meaningful, actionable intelligence that supports long-term financial strategy, cost efficiencies, and profitability.
- Ongoing improvement and innovate in the area of financial data analytics by staying up to date with the latest technologies, methodologies, and industry trends. Drive the adoption of new tools and techniques that enhance the accuracy, speed, and effectiveness of data analysis.
- Translate complex financial data findings into clear, concise narratives and recommendations for various partners, including executive leadership.
- Drive data-driven decision-making processes within the finance department and across Eli Lilly's global operations, ensuring that financial strategies are informed by the best available data.
- Develop and apply best practices in financial data analysis and causal modeling, focusing on the global pharmaceutical industry.
- Ensure data quality and adherence to data governance policies, maintaining the integrity of financial data across the organization.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or STEM related field (Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics, with a focus on applying advanced data analytics, IT solutions, and financial modeling to drive strategic business outcomes.

Additional Skills/Preferences
- Ability to break down complex business problems to find actionable insights, with expertise in storytelling with data and presenting insights clearly.
- Strong organizational and relationship skills, with flexibility in varying environments and with multiple customer groups.
- Experience with data quality management, proficiency in SQL, and creating dynamic dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.
- Demonstrated strong teamwork, communication, leadership, and influence skills, with the ability to gather requirements and lead successful implementation of complex processes.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration, basic competence in coding languages (Python, R, SAS, etc.), and familiarity with cloud-based tools like Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Microsoft Azure.
- Willingness to challenge and speak up, with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
