Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Achieve all goals, monitor and control all established quality assurance standards. Direct and supervise all functions, duties and day to day activities for the Fuel department. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote trust and respect among team members.
- Communicate company, department, and job specific information to team members.
- Collaborate with others to promote teamwork.
- Work with the Fuel Manager to establish performance goals for department and empower team members to meet or exceed targets.
- Develop adequate scheduling.
- Train and develop team members on performance of their job.
- Understand and adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items.
- Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated.
- Display a positive attitude.
- Assist Fuel Manager to develop and implement a department business plan.
- Create and execute sales promotions.
- Inform and educate department team members about promotions.
- Monitor and control expenses.
- Assist in preparing the department budget, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate action on all reports.
- Assist in planning, organizing and supervising the inventory process.
- Maintain an awareness of inventory and stocking conditions.
- Train team members on inventory and stocking.
- Responsible for delivery and documentation of fuel inventory.
- Process fuel, merchandise, and lottery sales quickly and accurately.
- Follow opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain till according to company policy.
- Perform cashier functions, including opening and closing register, ringing sales, completing tender transactions, and money drops.
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
- Maintain state, local and company compliance reports and logs.
- Complete incident and security reports.
- Clean up spills and complete Fuel Spill Report.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency plans numbers and procedures.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report all safety risks, or issues, and illegal activity, including- robbery, theft or fraud.
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and report repairs needed.
- Stock and inventory merchandise.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining kiosk and equipment, fuel dispensers, vending machines, trash receptacles, customer surfaces, and parking area.
- Standing and walking- Maximum 4 hours
- Sitting- Maximum 4 hours
- Lifting and carrying- Maximum 50 pounds
- Pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, kneeling, stretching, crawling, twisting
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
- Climbing- step stool, ladder
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Effective communication and reading skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Must be 18 years old
