Data Specialist - Military Veterans

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Specialist to support a 5-year program supporting a federal agency. This opportunity will upgrade your TS/SCI clearance to a CI Polygraph. The Data Specialist will support a team of developers on data integration requirements. This position is on-site 4 days/week and remote 1day/week and out of either Elkridge - Maryland, JBAB DC, or Reston - VA.
Responsibilities for the Data Specialist include:
- Write and maintain low-code Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) platform to assist with data transfers and transformations.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to collect data, add features to the ETL platform, integrate software into the system, and validate data ingests.
- Support high volume data transfers, provide documentation of system architecture, development, and enhancements.
- Assist with data warehouse and data lakes, and engineering work.
Required Qualifications for the Data Specialist include:
- 8 years of experience with data engineering/governance
- Experience with Linux, programming languages (Python, PHP, C#, Java), and the cloud preferred
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to sit for a CI Poly
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications for the Data Specialist include:
- Experience with ETL Data ingestion, integration, or transformation
- Experience with Ruby or Python
- Experience with cloud integration
Compensation for the Data Specialist include:
• Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 **depending on experience**
