Mechanical Engineer – Front End Test

The Front End Team is committed to improving our customers’ work through excellence in visibility, durability, and reliability. As a Front End Test engineer, you’ll play a key role in the testing, development, and validation of new mast components, attachments, and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovative thinking, troubleshooting, and problem solving.


• Being open minded and flexible in a team environment and responding to customer needs.


• Executing mast performance testing using data acquisition equipment and software.


• Analyzing test data and creating test documentation – accurately capturing and summarizing results.


• Configuring, running, and troubleshooting cycle test stands utilizing PLC’s/CAN interfaces.


• Designing and creating test fixtures.


• Ordering replacement parts to maintain and update Front End equipment.


• Hands-on test equipment configuration, wiring debugging, and mast adjustment, installation, and setup.


• Visiting customer sites to document truck use cases and to solicit performance feedback.

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Basic knowledge/skill in vehicle/automotive technology.


• Exposure to and interest in working on industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, agriculture, trucks).


• Desire to learn and grow in a validation test role.

Qualifications Preferred:

• BS/MS in Engineering with 2+ year’s work experience in product development.


• Familiarity or experience with ladder logic, PLC’s, and CAN interfaces.


• Experience with data acquisition equipment & analysis software (SomatXR, Vector, NI DIAdem, etc.)


• Experience executing a DVP&R and documenting test cases using Polarion or other similar software.


• An understanding of hydraulic systems and components
