Job Duties: The Miller School of Entrepreneurship within the Department of Management in the College of Business at East Carolina University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will be able to teach some combination of undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship courses. The standard teaching load is 9 scheduled hours in each of the fall and spring semesters. Additional duties include research/creative activities leading to publications as required for tenure as well as appropriate service to the university, community, and profession. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. Contingent upon availability of funds. Minimum Education/Experience: This appointment requires a terminal degree with a concentration in Business Administration, Management, Entrepreneurship, or related field, that is from an appropriately accredited institution and that satis?es credentialing under SACS guidelines. Candidates with the terminal degree conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will be appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their ?rst reappointment. This position requires evidence of the ability to develop, implement, and maintain a signi?cant ongoing research agenda as well as evidence of excellence in teaching. To date, the COB has approximately 150 faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. The Department of Management within the College of Business at ECU has approximately 1,300 undergraduate majors and over 40 faculty members that offers courses to both undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Management also houses the Miller School of Entrepreneurship ( MSOE ) with an additional four faculty members and over 300 students in this growing program. The Miller School has a significant impact in fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the campus. Major curricular and cocurricular programs include a BS in Entrepreneurship degree, undergraduate Entrepreneurship Certificate, Summer Innovation Academy, and the Pirate Entrepreneurship Challenge. The Miller School has been ranked a Princeton Review Top 50 undergraduate program for the past five years and won the USASBE Model Emerging Program Award in 2021.
