Open-Rank Tenure-Track Faculty Position: The Department of Health Management and Policy in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa invites applications for an open-rank Health Services Research and Policy (assistant, associate, or full professor) tenure-track faculty position. Application Deadline and Start Date: Review of applications will occur on a rolling basis and will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. We will begin reviewing applications on October 1, 2024, for a start date of August 2025. The Department of Health Management and Policy: The Department of Health Management and Policy is one of five academic units within the College of Public Health. According to U.S. News and World Report, the College of Public Health is among the top 10 publicly funded universities in the country, and the Department's MHA program is also ranked among the best in the nation of CAHME-accredited programs. The College is committed to student success, research and discovery, diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Department of Health Management and Policy has 13 primary faculty and 55 adjunct faculty members. Collectively, Departmental primary faculty average approximately $4 million annually in research grants and contracts as principal investigators. The Department has strong collaborative relationships with non-governmental organizations and state agencies, University of Iowa Health Care, NCI-designated Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Iowa City VA Health Care System, as well as with other colleges, departments, and centers throughout the University. The Department's PhD, MHA, EMHA, MS and MPH in Policy programs have an excellent history of recruiting, training, and placing graduates. The Department's over 1,400 alumni work in a wide variety of healthcare settings, academic units, government, consulting, and professional organizations throughout the nation and many provide mentorship to faculty and current students.
