Department Manager - Drilling Automation

We are looking for a new manager for our Drilling Automation department, with employees in both Houston and Stavanger. This team is a part of NOV Rig Technologies' Digital Products & Automation (DP&A) organization.

We are looking for a manager who can

  • Take part in- and drive the direction for this field
  • See and develop employees
  • Engage with customers
  • Listen and see opportunities
Drilling Automations' main responsibilities are to develop new value through products and solutions focused on drilling and downhole processes, and to execute projects and deliveries towards our customers

We are on a mission of digital transformation in the energy industry and drilling automation is a vital piece in the solution we are driving towards. As manager, you will join a team of motivated software engineers and other managers within the Digital Products & Automation team in NOV where you will be challenged and have the possibility to grow both as an individual and as a leader.

Responsibilities will include
  • Leading, growing and mentoring your team
  • Managing the direction and vision of the team
  • Managing the department budgets
  • Managing HR responsibilities
  • Executing the goals and objectives of the department
  • Prioritizing team resources to achieve organizational goals
  • Other tasks given
