The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Estimating and Pricing Specialist to join our team in Hazelwood, MO. This position will support Finance Shared Services, Government Estimating: Proposal Development in the Air Dominance division.



This role involves working with both government and commercial contracts, supporting substantial business acquisitions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, capable of managing assignments proactively, and excels in cross-functional coordination and communication.



Position Responsibilities Include:



  • Analyze request for proposal/quotation requirements, provide guidance and recommendations to develop executable proposal plans of action, identify risks/opportunities, and coordinate artifacts required to meet milestones and ensure compliant cost proposal responses

  • Coordinate and collaborate with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of costs estimates, proposals and other related business decision data

  • Provide fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts and coordinate responses through proposal teams, as required

  • Provide Estimating & Pricing subject matter expertise of processes, tools and techniques to maintain compliance with estimating system requirements

  • Identify, assess and implement changes to processes, tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy

  • Partner with Program Management, Contracts, Rates Management, Financial Operations and Cost Policy analysts to ensure compliance with new or evolving requirements impacting cost proposals and estimating system

  • Support, prepare and brief executive-level presentations, as required



This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.



The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.



Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):



  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 3+ years' of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Accounting)

  • 5+ years’ of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project



Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):



  • Working knowledge of USG Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations

  • Experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating & pricing tools and processes

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable working in a highly dynamic and diverse team environment with the ability to work across business units, functions and tailor communication to all skill levels within the organization

  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment and be highly responsive to the needs generated by the day-to-day activities of management and the organization





Typical Education & Experience:


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).




Relocation:


Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.



Summary pay range:


$84,150 – $113,850
