Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a broad range of Electrical Design Installation Engineers including: Mid-Level, and Senior positions to support the Executive Transport programs located in Oklahoma City, OK.  The ideal candidate will have an Engineering background with Wire Installation experience. 



Position Responsibilities:



  • Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews.

  • Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).

  • Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).

  • Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.

  • Develops basic statements of work. Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.

  • Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.

  • Works under general direction.



This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and will not require the selected candidate to relocate.



This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.



Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):



  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 1+ years of experience with commercial or MIL spec connectors and backshells

  • 1+ years of experience working with wiring diagrams and/or functional schematics



Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):



  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience leading a team of 4+ other engineers

  • A basic process understanding or experience with wire bundle routing and installation.

  • Familiarity with aircraft electrical safety requirements and certification.



Typical Education/Experience: 



Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.



Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.



Relocation:


Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.



Work Shift:


This position would work 1st Shift.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 



Summary pay range for Mid-Level $90,950 – 141,450


Summary pay range for Lead $111,350- 173,650
