Avionics COMM/NAV Technician 'I' Level - Military Veterans

TASK DESCRIPTION:  The incumbent of this task will test, troubleshoot, and repair COMM/NAV systems at the I-Level of maintenance.

TASK REQUIREMENTS:

1. Test, troubleshoot, and repair F/A-18 COMM/NAV systems WRAs and SRAs.

1. Test, troubleshoot, and repair Support Equipment utilized on F/A-18 COMM/NAV systems.

1. Provide OJT to KAF personnel on the operation of test equipment and system repair.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of four (4) years’ experience repairing electronic equipment, with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience repairing COMM/NAV systems.

1. Graduate of a COMM/NAV operator/maintainer school.

1. Thorough understanding of electrostatic discharge/damage procedures.

1. Capable of performing miniature component repair on circuit cards.

1. Proficient in digital, analog, and radio frequency systems, to include schematic tracing and electronic safety.

1. Proficient in the use of PCs and associated software.

1. Security clearance required.
