Position Title: Senior Accounts Supervisor, Grade F School/Division: Controller's Office (division) Office: Office of Financial Affairs, Accounts Payable Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time Description: Reporting to the Director of Accounts Payable, the Senior Accounts Supervisor provides a full range of bookkeeping support at a senior level to the department of Accounts Payable. Overtime may be required during peak periods. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performs the first level of Accounts Payable check review prior to the Director of Accounts Payable. Acts as the primary point of contact for expense management software questions. Assists with the distribution of workload during high volume periods. Assists with the reconciliation of agency travel arrangements and payments. Processes payments to vendors against purchase orders or as direct payments. Maintains departmental records and supplies for accounts payable. Performs data entry, filing, scanning, and provides support to the Office of Financial Affairs as needed. Calculates prepaid and accrual amounts on invoices to ensure proper recording of expenses. Assists with the review of cash advances, advance settlements, employee reimbursements, and corporate card expenses. Processes vendor payments, student refund payments, ACH payments, and wire transfer payments. Performs check inquiries, voids, and stop payments for vendor and student payments. Prepares various monthly reconciliations and accounts payable reports as required. Assists with testing of software program upgrades, as needed. Assists with the supervision and training of student employees. Coordinates accounts payable records and offsite storage and destruction. May perform other duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skill and which are normally included within the above job title. Hours: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Subject to bumping. Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required. Previous bookkeeping or accounts payable experience. Experience with database systems. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills. Proactive with strong attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion. Must be customer service oriented with excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Ellucian Banner, Chrome River and Crystal reporting preferred. Previous supervisory experience.
