Network Finished Goods Manager - Military Veterans

Overview

The Network Finished Goods Manager is a new role at the T. Marzetti company created to ensure finished goods stock is available to the customer in the correct location with a high number of turns to reduce year-over-year storage costs. The candidate will use SAP and BI reports to analyze and make a recommendation to master data to improve turns and reduce aging inventory. The candidate will need to be a strong communicator and collaborator to set up the necessary tools to track and analyze inventory levels. In this position, the candidate will work with several cross-functional teams such as: Sales/Marketing increasing sales of aging product or sell-off of aged product, the distribution center on FEFO requirements, destroys and damages, End-2-End and the factory scheduler on DOH levels, and rework prioritizations, and Quality on disposition of holds.

We are looking for a candidate who is a visionary and can create reports, dashboards, and develop cross-functional training since this role and department is new to the organization. The overall goal of this position is to reduce inventory, transportation, destroy costs while increasing efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality, safety and customer satisfaction is not negatively impacted.

  • Participate in a high energy and fast-paced team environment to provide data analysis and understand the implications of data and impact on business.

  • Analyze daily inventory levels to anticipate supply needs and shortages.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of aging inventory across all product lines, identifying obsolete, slow-moving, and excess stock

  • Work with E2E Supply and BUs to devise and implement strategies to reduce aging inventory levels, including but not limited to promotions, liquidations, and re-marketing efforts

  • Help root cause key aging inventory drivers (forecast, overproduce, MOQ) and partner with cross-functional teams to reduce future issues

  • Work with local teams to ensure FEFO and proper rotations are followed

  • Work as part of a materials management and supply planning teams to support the 1.) right size of inventory, 2.) monitor and suggested DOH on both Finished Goods and Raw Materials for cost and service stabilization.

  • Support plant and warehouse team by reviewing customer short orders and trend for root cause.

  • Work closely with IT on reporting/dashboard development

  • Develop training for cross-functional partners, to use and understand finished good metrics and dashboard

  • Prepare and participate in monthly KPI reviews and provide feedback for plant and cross functional partners.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders across the organization on the execution of various business initiatives.

  • Support the creation and execution of the materials and finished good inventory, working with team to ensure alignment of business needs and financial goals.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, logistics or supply chain preferred.
    • In lieu of Bachelor's degree, minimum of 5 years of work experience within supply chain, food manufacturing preferred.


  • Working knowledge of production processes, scheduling systems, and inventory control in manufacturing.

  • Working Knowledge of ERP systems, experience with SAP is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of PowerBI and reporting tools

  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately work with confidential information and situations and manage correspondence.

  • Strong organizational abilities, capable of multi-tasking.

  • Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions/Environment

Works in an office and manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read and comprehend, sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, grasp, climb and bend while working in a fast-paced production environment. Position will be salary with flexible hours and work from home availability. The position will require visits to the factory flow and PPE and factory quality standards must be maintained.
