Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a similar discipline; or
5-8 years of direct experience in managing safety programs within construction or related industries.
Holding professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, SMS) is essential.
Certification as an OSHA Outreach Trainer is an advantage.
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and show attention to detail.
Outstanding interpersonal abilities, with proven success in managing tasks and follow-through.
Proficiency in utilizing contemporary software tools and technology platforms.

Position Overview: As the key player driving safety initiatives, the Safety Lead is expected to be a source of motivation and inspiration, fostering a safe and compliant working environment. The role requires close collaboration with multiple departments, including Human Resources and Project Operations, to maintain a culture that prioritizes employee well-being and operational safety at all levels.

Core Responsibilities:

Work closely with teams such as Operations, HR, and Project Management to ensure safety protocols are followed across all sites.
Support the design and implementation of safety recognition programs to promote safety awareness.
Conduct reviews and provide oversight of safety guidelines and ensure they meet industry standards and regulations.
Help project teams formulate and implement site-specific safety strategies.
Perform safety compliance checks and audits for ongoing projects.
Ensure that trade partners and external vendors adhere to safety regulations.
Conduct regular field audits to ensure documentation and compliance are maintained.
Present detailed safety reports, metrics, and analyses during monthly leadership meetings.
Oversee investigations of accidents or incidents, preparing detailed reports and addressing any claims.
Participate in pre-project meetings to set safety expectations and provide orientations.
Assist in creating, scheduling, and conducting training programs on various safety topics.
Manage safety training records, certifications, and ensure they are up-to-date.
Organize and distribute regular safety communications, such as safety checklists and tool box talks.
Oversee Workers' Compensation claims, assisting with investigations and documentation.
Ensure air quality monitoring equipment is available and functioning as needed.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of safety equipment and manage distribution across projects.
