Department: Financial Services Position Overview: This position serves as the Associate Vice President's second in command, primarily overseeing and coordinating budget operations functions, including coordinating elements of the development, implementation, and evaluation of the University’s operating budget. This role provides strategic projections/recommendations and communicates financial information to the Associate Vice President. Telework: A hybrid telework schedule may be available. Responsibilities: Oversees many aspects of the development of the University's operating budget, including developing budget planning scenarios, projecting revenue and expenses for the coming year, and estimating resources available to allocate for budget priorities. Develops and prepares various internal reports for the Associate Vice President to be presented to campus leadership. Directs financial analyses, oversees ad hoc initiatives, and manages other aspects of the University's financial structure. Serves as a subject matter expert for campus community. Supervises budget staff and manages the daily operations of the Budget Department. Oversees and manages work associated with the Financial Administrative Dashboards (FADS), the campus financial reporting tool. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. 5 years budget experience or financial experience in higher ed. One year supervisory experience.
