Job Summary and Qualifications

The Parallon Project Management Associate (PMA) will work under the direction of a Senior Project Manager or higher position and assist project management staff with the execution of programs and projects as assigned. Typical duties include work plan and project delivery assistance, coordinating assigned project activities, collaborating with project team members, utilizing standard project controls and standards to help ensure projects successfully meet their stated objectives, and support of the monitoring of progress toward project delivery achievement. The Project Management Associate (PMA) is responsible for tasks such as agenda preparation for meetings, project documentation, and collaboration with team members to develop project collateral. The PMA will also participate in training, classroom assignments, and experiential job rotations to prepare them to function competently as a future Project Manager supporting Parallon Project Services.

What you will do in this role:


  • Satisfactorily complete assigned project management and applicable skills training.

  • Participants satisfactorily completes rotational training assignments, within assigned PM client

  • Works with assigned project manager(s) to assist with the development of project plans, schedules, and project

  • controls, and to track work and status related to assigned projects aimed at the delivery of products and services to

  • HCA business units.

  • Supports project managers with preparation for and conducting of meetings and other project-related communications.

  • Works within the framework of the Parallon Project Services project management methodology and established Project Management Control Manuals and Guides, utilizing standards tools and processes.

  • Participants provide a high-quality resource of knowledge, skills and experience during the course of training and assigned project work.

  • Determines performance improvement opportunities including but not limited to project management processes and controls, business operations area improvement opportunities, and communications improvement opportunities.

  • Satisfactorily completes project management assignments as assigned.

  • Conducts self in a professional, ethical and compassionate manner with all individuals and co-worker

What qualifications you will need:


  • BS or BA degree preferred; Accounting, Business, Finance, or Healthcare Administration degrees a plus.

  • Experience in healthcare, healthcare or general management or finance is preferred.

  • Minimum 6 months experience of proven or demonstrated leadership, management or supervisory is required. Leadership experience may be from a job, school or voluntary capacity.
