Maintenance Electrician - Military Veterans

The role of the Maintenance Electrician is to perform preventative and maintenance work orders, troubleshoot and repair various mill equipment, repair and modify electrical controls including electronic drive units, PLCs, and HMIs, provide electrical support to the mechanical and production teams, and assist with various projects.

You must also show you have the ability to work in a team environment and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Technically they need someone who understands fundamental electrical theory and practice, has experience troubleshooting 480V motors and controls, automation controls, and experience or the ability to learn to perform routine and corrective maintenance on:

- AC motors and drives

- DC motors and drives, power distribution, VFDs, control systems and PLCs (will teach PLCs)

- Overhead cranes

Strong troubleshooting skills, excellent computer skills, mechanical aptitude or any hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge is a bonus.

They will have an outlined training program in place, starting with a safety training program, as safety is something they take very seriously, most training will be OJT, but you must have electrical troubleshooting and repair experience. These are rotating shift positions that run:

Day shift 4 on, 4 off; night shift, 4 on, 4 off

Base salary $90 - $100k first year including base plus production bonus. Pay increases as you learn, and they offer a great benefits package. This is a brand-new facility where you can learn from the ground floor up.
