Job Description
MAXISIQ is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to provide expert-level technical guidance in support of the U.S. Army RCCTO's mission to deliver rapid prototyping and advanced combat capabilities. The SME will be responsible for leading the development and integration of cutting-edge aerospace systems, offering deep technical expertise in designing, testing, and fielding aerospace technologies. This role demands a high level of experience in system design, project leadership, and the ability to provide strategic technical direction in support of RCCTO's mission. This is a full-time position located in Redstone Arsenal, AL with work anticipated to begin in mid-December 2024 upon award.
Duties involved in this role:
- Serve as the primary technical expert in aerospace engineering, providing strategic advice on the development and integration of advanced systems, including UAS, missiles, and next-generation combat technologies.
- Lead high-level technical reviews and assessments to ensure systems meet operational, technical, and performance requirements.
- Oversee the design, prototyping, and testing of advanced aerospace systems, driving innovation and ensuring systems are combat-ready within RCCTO's rapid timelines.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and military personnel to develop novel solutions that address emerging threats.
- Perform advanced analysis, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, and propulsion system performance evaluations.
- Provide expert-level guidance in identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the lifecycle of the project, from design to deployment.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing leadership and technical expertise to ensure successful project execution.
- Present findings, recommendations, and technical insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Clearance Requirement: Active or current Secret level clearance minimum
Experience:
- Industry leader with extensive experience in system design, development, and integration within a defense environment.
- Recognized subject matter expertise in aerospace technologies, with a strong track record of leading complex technical projects.
- Advanced proficiency in aerospace system design, aerodynamics, propulsion systems, and structural analysis.
- Expertise in simulation and analysis tools, including CFD and finite element analysis (FEA).
- Extensive experience in military aerospace systems, including UAS, missile defense, and directed energy systems.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping, field testing, and integration of cutting-edge aerospace technologies into combat platforms.
