Junior-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst - Military Veterans

Torch is seeking a motivated Junior-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst to support the Army's Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems. In this role, you will be responsible for executing system simulations, performing data analysis, and ensuring the accuracy and functionality of defense systems. The position provides the opportunity to contribute directly to national defense by helping to refine and enhance missile defense capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute missile defense system simulations to support the evaluation and development of integrated defense systems.
  • Analyze simulation data to ensure system and component performance meets design specifications.
  • Analyze massive amounts of missile defense data using statistical analysis techniques to determine and communicate system performance.
  • Provide detailed reports and presentations on system performance, including identification of any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Develop Python-based tools capable of retrieving, manipulating, and visualizing massive amounts of missile defense data.
  • Analyze missile defense system software to deduce system behavior and performance.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance
  • Experience: 2-5 Years
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with the Linux operating system.
  • Experience performing data analysis and data visualization using Python.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with system simulation software and data analysis tools.
  • Prior experience supporting military defense systems is a plus.
