Job Summary and Qualifications
Provide technical skills that cover a broad range of disciplines and/or a particular technical discipline that is of significance to HCA. Perform technical project assigned with minimal supervision. Identify, investigate, evaluate and become proficient in new technologies and technical disciplines that are of significance to HCA Healthcare.
Provide end to end support of mission critical applications and infrastructure. Build, test, and maintain infrastructure and application monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation where possible.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This role supports and engages with processes, tools, and teams involved with the full data lifecycle, from source system ingestion to end-user analytics. Success starts with a solid understanding of cloud-based data platforms, CI/CD processes, and DevOps tools and best practices, but also requires experience working with a variety of BI tools, troubleshooting new error messages, and offering support to people in many different roles who have a wide variety of use cases and varied levels of technical expertise.
- Familiarity with applicable programming languages, benchmarking methodologies, diagnostic techniques, and use of statistical and analytical tools for system monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong general understanding of technology, networking, and data and applications architectures.
- Excellent ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including interaction with internal and vendor technical staffs, project managers, data owners, data analysts, and others.
- Ability to follow project plans to ensure effective delivery of solutions in accordance with defined timelines and associated budgets.
- Provide technical leadership for the testing and certification of all supporting applications and processes in a development environment to assure a sound deployment basis for production implementations.

AREA OF EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years relevant professional experience in a technology field with in-depth knowledge of development techniques, workflows, and patterns
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning, infrastructure management, process automation, system administration, and security for a large organization
- At least one year of experience with Terraform, or similar infrastructure as code, to deploy and manage cloud resources
- Experience with Cloud engineering in GCP, Azure or AWS, ideally data engineering
- Working knowledge of GitHub, including workflows, actions, and repository management
- Strong understanding of automation and how to implement through continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tooling and testing
- Experience with application performance monitoring, operational analytics, and configuration management tools, including experience identifying actionable improvement opportunities
- Experience designing technical solutions that balance financial operations, diverse developer skillsets, and timelines
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts one-one-one and deliver technical training to groups with an audience first approach
- Ability to work with a wide variety of other roles including developers, DBAs, architects, data owners, and management to understand their requirements and place those requirements in context
- Strong SQL skills, including experience optimizing query performance
- Proven track record of delivering excellent project results on-time and on-budget
- Experience conducting ongoing process improvement to optimize, streamline, and enhance user experience
- Solid understanding and experience with operating system concepts and practical implementation of those fundamentals in a large-scale production environment
- Working knowledge and experience with key ITIL processes is required. Previous experience with application development coding, debugging, testing and delivery into a production environment is highly desirable
- A solid understanding of compute performance metrics and tools is highly desirable, to include understanding of CPU utilization levels, CPU and disk queuing, I/O response times, and other key performance indicators and their impact on performance
- Experience with network fundamentals and performance principles, including a firm understanding of TCPIP protocols

CERTIFICATIONS
- Certification in one or more of the following: GCP certification, GitHub Certification, Terraform Certification preferred
