School: Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department/Area: Psychology Position Description: The Gershman lab at Harvard University is seeking to hire a postdoctoral fellow to work on experimental studies of learning and memory in planarian flatworms. This research program is motivated by new ideas about the molecular basis of memory. We are using planarians as a model system for understanding cell-intrinsic mechanisms for associative learning and their relationship to regenerative biology. This is a three-year term position with possibility of renewal dependent upon job performance and continued availability of funding. Basic Qualifications: PhD in Neuroscience, Cellular or Molecular Biology or related field required by the appointment start date. Applicants must have extensive wet lab experience.
