Position Title: Lab Coordinator Department/School: School Social & Behavioral Sciences Salary/Pay Rate: $58,500.00 - $60,405.80 Job Summary: The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences has a variety of new facilities that will need to be maintained, scheduled, and organized by a general lab coordinator. These facilities include 3 psychology labs, a crime & justice studies lab, a mock courtroom, a maker space, a teacher education methods classroom and a counseling suite. The lab coordinator will oversee the scheduling of research participants through our SONA system, coordinate with faculty and students for use of research spaces, and insure that all spaces have the supplies needed. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma 1-3 years of relevant experience Essential Functions: Create and maintain records of equipment and supply needs Coordinate with administrative support staff and faculty to order needed supplies Oversee scheduling of research spaces Provide direct support to faculty and students in PSYC101 courses to ensure that requirements for research participation are met Attend department meetings as appropriate Provide training as needed for use of equipment Aware of ethical guidelines for research with human participants Flexible work schedule depending on scheduled events Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Experience working in maintaining labs Required Application Documents: Resume, Cover Letter, & Contact Information of 3 Professional References Benefits: The position includes a comprehensive benefit package*. Typical eligibility requirements: 1 year of service and 1,000 hours with Marist College. 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution. Tuition Benefits: Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26. College pays 100% tuition only. Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution. *Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College. About the Department/School: The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences houses four undergraduate programs (psychology, social work, crime and justice studies, and teacher education) and four graduate programs (MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling, MA School Psychology, Master of Art in Teaching, MS in Education, Contemporary Curriculum and Instruction). Faculty and students work together regularly on research projects. The School is home to 43 full time faculty, many part time faculty, and about 1000 students.
