Summary
This Lead Project Manager is responsible for leading high-visibility and complex programs, projects, and/or strategic process development and execution. A Lead Project Manager is also responsible for executing project management activities. Other responsibilities include representing program/project management functions for assigned activities to internal and external stakeholders.
Be engaged early in the architectural design process and lead the efforts that will inform Honeywell FM&Ts future, built environment. In this critical role, the Lead Project Manager will facilitate planning activities with internal and external stakeholders to uncover business requirements that will frame the plan for project success.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual with an interest and background in enduser collaboration, pre-design programming, strategy, research, analysis, process improvement or owner representation. The Project Lead will have the opportunity to define current and future states and participate in user research to better understand user needs and behaviors. These quantitative requirements will be crucial when determining the budget and schedule, which will be communicated at the federal level to secure funding. Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of business requirements and cost estimates for manufacturing/ industrial design projects up to 30% design.
- Navigate cross departments to resolve significant issues.
- Collaborate and facilitate group discussions. Utilize a variety of questioning techniques to encourage participation and uncover key design requirements.
- Serve as primary point of contact for executives, customers, and partners.
- Conceptualize business needs as 3D solutions and advise customers of potential risks and constraints, based on their input.
- Lead teams and matrix reports to manage day-to-day program requirements. May assist in the selection and development of project employees and third-party contractors.
- Provide project management guidance for functional/divisional project leads while ensuring that projects are prioritized and managed to a successful completion.
You Must Have
- 7+ years of experience in key engineering, manufacturing, and/or program/project management roles.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Scientific, or Business-related field.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- Ability to travel as per business needs.
