The Auburn University Regional Airport (https://auoairport.com/) seeks candidates for an Aviation Equipment Technician to perform maintenance on airport facilities, grounds, service and refueling equipment, and provide flight line services for local and transient aircraft.

Essential Functions
Flight School Fueling Crew: The Flight School Fueling Crew performs aircraft refueling, operation of fuel trucks, and management of fuel inventory and quality. Serves as part of the Flight School Fueling Crew, responsible for refueling Auburn University's School of Aviation aircraft fleet and managing the airport's Avgas inventory.
Formal AU Title:Airport Line Service Tech I.
Salary Range: $15.00-$19.28/hour.
Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Crew: The Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Crew services aircraft and conducts routine airport maintenance for the airport's fixed base operator (FBO). Refuels a large spectrum of piston and turbine engine aircraft, operates both aviation gasoline and jet-a fuel trucks, conducts fuel quality control testing, assists in receiving fuel loads, and manages the airport's fuel inventory. Conducts daily inspections of the airport's surface and reports any deficiencies to management, as per the airport's self-inspection program.

Salary Range: $14.66-$20.53/hour.
Airport Ground Support Equipment Tech: The Airport Ground Support Equipment Tech services aircraft, conducts airport grounds maintenance, and maintains ground support equipment for the airport's fixed base operator (FBO). Responsible for maintaining airport equipment, grounds, and facilities. Operates and maintains airport ground support equipment, such as aircraft tugs, ground power unit (GPU), lavatory service cart, de-icing cart, forklift, golf cart, UTV, and airport shuttles and vehicles. Renders grounds maintenance, such as mowing, cutting trees and brush, applying herbicide, and repairing airport lighting fixtures and associated components. As a member of the airport's line crew, the Technician refuels a large spectrum of piston and turbine engine aircraft, operates both aviation gasoline and jet-a fuel trucks, conducts fuel quality control testing, assists in receiving fuel loads, and manages the airport's fuel inventory. Conducts daily inspections of the airport's surface and reports any deficiencies to management, as per the airport's self-inspection program.

Salary Range: $16.54-$23.17/hour.

Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Crew - High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience in facility and/or ground maintenance
Airport Ground Support Equipment Tech- High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant experience in facility and/or ground maintenance
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
Degrees accepted in lieu of experience for advanced levels, at a rate of one year of relevant education per year of required experience.

Auburn University was established in 1856 as the East Alabama Male College, 20 years after the city of Auburn's founding. In 1872, under the Morrill Act, the school became the first land-grant college in the South and was renamed the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama.
