PURPOSE:

The Contracts Manager ensures consistent and timely processing of contract proposals, sales agreements, and rebates. The responsibilities include the management of contracts and any necessary changes over the course of the contract life, reviewing and understanding the commercial terms of contract proposals, reviewing Berry Best discrepancies with sales and obtaining approvals from relevant department stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing the contract lifecycle management (CLM) tool, to process, document, track, communicate and manage all aspects of contract administration and obligations of contract proposals
  • Review and assign new requests to appropriate contract team members
  • Manage and prioritize urgent requests and deadlines
  • Serve as the Administrator of the CLM tool, ensuring correct hierarchies are established and data is clean and consistent
  • Create and distribute monthly reports for Leadership on contract status, upcoming expiration dates, etc.
  • Effectively interacts with other teams in a professional manner on resolution of contract questions/issues, providing guidance and coaching to ensure understanding of the CLM process and the CCG.
  • Responsible for each phase of the contract lifecycle after the contract has been drafted and negotiated
  • Working with sales, pricing, customer service and product line management, lead the recovery of missed or lost revenue via non-contract compliance with customers (non-resin inflation, invoice line credits, freight discrepancies, etc.)
  • Analyze contracts based on the guidance of the CCG and obtain necessary Regional and Corporate Approvals dictated by the CCG and delegation of authority guidelines
  • Ensure Berry complies with agreed terms of a contract by working with Legal
  • Develop the curriculum and train staff to ensure all internal teams are trained and understand the contract lifecycle process and the CCG
  • Effectively work across all levels of the organization in a professional, collaborative manner
  • Supports new and ongoing projects and/or initiatives as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of business experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Prior use of a contract management system is required.
  • Ability to uphold processes across different functions.
  • Ability to interact professionally with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal skills are required.
  • Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office required.
